Make your own butter!
I know it sounds daunting but it's really easy and a fun thing to do with the kids. If you have a Kitchen-Aid mixer (or any mixer/blender) you just need organic whipping cream and a bit of sea salt to taste. Pour bottle of whipping cream into bowl - cover mixer with tea towel (to prevent spraying cream everywhere) and mix until butter milk separates from butter. Pour butter milk into a container (make buttermilk scones with it or anything else you use buttermilk for) and mix again once you have scraped the sides of the bowl add some sea salt.
To make the butter last longer add a couple tablespoons of ice water to rinse the butter. Turn mixer on again until the water separates from the butter (again you can use this as buttermilk). We go through ours quickly so I skip this step.
Keep butter in the fridge for approximately two weeks.
