Why soak?

When you soak you make the item more digestible and allows your body better access to the vitamins and minerals inside.

Soaking increases the amount of vitamins your body absorbs - especially B vitamins.

Soaking also breaks down the gluten. People that have a gluten sensitivity might want to try soaking their grains and try a small amount to see if they no longer have a reaction. **Does not completely remove the gluten so not recommended for people with true allergies or anyone with celiac.

Helps to prevent mineral deficiencies and bone loss.

Helps neutralize toxins in the colon and keep the colon clean.

How to:

Place in clean jar & ensure item is completely covered with a few extra inches of clean water to allow the grains to expand.

Put 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar or lemon juice into the water.

Let soak at room temperature for at least 7 hours for grains & beans.

If you are not using right away put the soaked grains in water in the fridge. This will be good for a couple of days.

Drain and rinse the grains and discard the soaking water - do NOT use the water.
